after several tests and found that Cascade 0.9.4 Full is compatible with vlinker FS USb updated to February 2023

https://github.com/uli/cascade/

I am still investigating what uses it can be given in addition to ford scan as I would like a version of IDS ford for our cable and an update for that purpose

Hi

Our devices do not currently support the original software, IDS ford requires the 2534 protocol, which means we not only need to get Ford's approval, but we also need to add more protocols and content, IDS ford is planned for the future, but it may take more time before it is available.

vLinker FS is NOT compatible with CASCADE, your statement is wrong!

CASCADE will always detect adapters that use the FTDI chip, but CASCADE only works with the KKL adapter on FT232 chip and with K+CAN Commander 1.4.
You can easily check this by trying to connect to any car using CASCADE and vLinker FS.

Very interesting but... Cascade does not support ELM adapters, it can only work with K-line adapters or K+CAN Commander 1.4 on FTDI interface. The author of Cascade started work on supporting ELM adapters, but did not finish it. You can look at Cascade's source code to check it out.

vLinker FS doesn't support K-line mode, it only supports AT/ST/VT command set, but Cascade doesn't support ELM commands (and it doesn't support ST/VT commands), so your screenshot is curious. Can you explain what car you are trying to diagnose? It's probably MMC because the screenshot shows 15625 baud.

Hello

Perhaps because the chip used in the vLinker FS is also FTDI, I have selected Toyota for the screenshot and the model does not require K-line mode

Try to connect to а real car with Cascade and vLinker FS and check.

Yes, Cascade not allways use K-Line mode, it can use CAN bus mode of K+CAN Commander 1.4, but CAN mode command set of K+CAN Commander 1.4 absolutely not compatible with ELM commands.
