Cant connect to android head unit Posted by: Rv8flyboy - 09-05-2024, 09:46 PM - Forum: Vgate iCarPro BT/BLE/WiFi - Replies (3) Bought a pro ble 4.0, updated the firmware. Tried pairing to android (13) head unit in my car, it shows up as available but does not pair using 1234 ( or 0000, had to try). It connects fine using 1234, to my android phone, also running android 13, using jscan Went in the setup, using the qr code from my now connected phone and tried to change the protocol to BT(android), or any other of the choices, but when i click update, after a few seconds the progress bar turns red and i get a red X. Same for trying BT BLE, in short it wont let me try other protocols. How do i connect, pair, the adapter to my android head unit? If I unplug and plug in again sometimes it finds it again but looses connection very quickly. I don't know what else to try. How to set baud rate for serial link using AT-commands? This works, but I get a buffer full situation. I am looking for information on how to increase the transfer speed between the vLinker FS and the PC. The default speed seems to 115200. I have tried the AT BRD command, but it does not seem to be supported.  How can I configure the vLinker FS to use a higher speed for the data flow towards the PC? Is there some AT-command that can be used? I know Forscan can increase the baud rate above 115200, so I am sure there is a way to do this. How is it done? Here are more details on my setup: I am using Linux and for testing I am using the minicom terminal emulator for sending AT commands.  After configuring the vLinker FS using these commands, I use the AT MA command to start listening. I receive around 480 messages before the vLinker FS reports "BUFFER FULL" and exits the monitor mode. The connection via BLE works fine in principle, where I selected the "vLinker MC-IOS" in the Car Scanner settings, since no specific ANDROID connection is shown (for BLE).  Having successfully started, I can have long and short rides, where the vLinker is automatically reconnected after a break of e.g. one hour for shopping etc. Data recording is continued then. That's fine so far. Only if I want to reconnect after a whole night, where the vLinker has fallen asleep in the meantime, I can't succeed to wake the vLinker up with my smartphone. So I always need to unplug the device and plug it in again, which is a little annoying with my car. After that the vLinker gets recognized and reconnected automatically - without any further steps necessary). As far as I understood, device wake-up should be one of the favourite features of Bluetooth LE. Can anybody tell me what I might be doing wrong, do I e.g. have to change any of the default settings in the Car Scanner app? Thanks for any idea which could help. Unfortunately, on my second laptop, which only has USB 3.0 ports, I have a problem with connecting to the Forscan interface and when I run the update program, I receive a notification about a connection problem.                         Any ideas?
