vLINKER FD+ not connecting with Android BT but responds to IOS - wxviewer - 09-01-2025
With the vLINKER plugged into the OBDII port and the ignition is ON but not running, the first time I tried to BT connect to Win11 laptop, I accidentally tried to use the vLinker FD -IOS option. When I did and entered 1234, the blue LED on the vLinker started flashing. But eventually stopped and never connected.
But when I did find the vLinker FD-Android option in the BT list on the Windows 11 laptop, I selected it, entered the 1234, and the blue LED never flashed or turn on. Eventually it also registered as not connected.
So it seems, IOS at least talks to the vLinker, but Android option does not.
How do I get this working? I need it to work on my Windows 11 laptop with FORScan.

After pairing on Android, you don't need to connect via settings. Instead, open the paired Bluetooth device in the app settings and connect within the app itself.
The process is similar on Windows: after pairing, locate the device's port number and configure the connection using that port number in FORScan.

You’ll want to pair the vLinker using the Android profile only — the iOS one won’t work with Windows/FORScan. After removing both devices from your Bluetooth list, try re-pairing fresh with the FD-Android option. Once paired, don’t rely on Windows to auto-connect; instead, open FORScan and let it handle the connection. Also double-check that you’re using the correct COM port in FORScan settings after pairing. That usually solves the “no flashing LED / no connect” issue.
