vLinker FD+ - skylerclooney - 11-01-2025

Hi everyone, I’m Skyler, and I’ve been using the vLinker FD+ for routine diagnostics on my Ford Focus 2018 with the Car Scanner and Forscan Lite apps. It’s always been dependable, but after my phone updated to Android 14, the adapter suddenly stopped linking properly; it powers up and pairs via Bluetooth, yet both apps freeze on the connection screen or time out before communicating with the ECU. I’ve reset everything, tried different vehicles, cleared caches, and even switched to another app just in case, but no luck so far. The firmware on the adapter is v1.3.8, and before this update, it worked flawlessly. Has anyone else run into the same problem or found a workaround? I’d really appreciate some guidance before I risk trying a firmware flash or replacement. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

Did your last update fail? If so, it may have caused the connection channel to remain occupied, preventing further connections. Simply scan the device's QR code to perform the upgrade again. Once the upgrade is successful, normal functionality will be restored.
