iCar Pro BLE4.0 Not Connecting to Dodge Durango - cribbj - 03-04-2025
My iCar Pro BLE4.0 works fine with Jscan software in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler, but will not even connect to Jscan in my 2004 Durango, and no lights are illuminated on the dongle when plugged into the Wrangler.
Another (very cheap) OBD2 scan tool works fine in both the Durango and the Jeep.
Apparently the iCar dongle isn't getting power correctly but why does the other scanner work? Do I need some sort of adapter cable?

Found the problem. I was connecting the dongle with the ignition on in the Durango, and either the dongle or the Durango ECU didn't like that. So I tried connecting the dongle with the ignition off, then turning it on and everything worked!
When using the dongle with the Jeep I was accustomed to connecting it with the ignition on and it worked OK, but I suppose the Durango is a little fussier.
