Connection with Android 13 radio - chevyvgate - 03-31-2025

Hi, my question is: Will I be able to connect the vLinker iCar Pro BLE4.0 device to my car stereo? Is it Android 13? Thank you.

Yes, iCar Pro can support Android 13, you just need to find the Bluetooth pairing of “Android-VLINK” in the settings, and then you can open the desired app to connect!
There is a default pairing code “0000” in some cars, if it doesn't ask you to input the code when you pairing, then the car is using the default pairing code for pairing, then it will prompt pairing failure.
You only need to find the default pairing code in the Bluetooth settings, and change it to 1234 to pair.

Could you please clarify how to change the default Bluetooth pairing code from “0000” to “1234” in the car’s settings?

You will need to find this setting in Bluetooth in your car, as different models will have different ways of setting it up.

Threaded Mode: Parallel processing mode using multiple threads, helping to increase performance and response.

Connection with Android 13 Radio: Refers to the communication process between the Android 13 operating system and mobile network hardware (modem).

When combined, Android 13 uses threaded mode to manage radios, which significantly improves performance, battery consumption, and user experience over network connections.

Yes, it works with Android 13. Pairing requires:
  • Enabling Bluetooth visibility on your Android device.
  • Selecting the device named "Android-Vlink" and entering the PIN 1234 in your phone's Bluetooth settings1.
  • Supported apps include Torque Lite, OBD Auto Doctor, and OBD Fusion

Connecting devices can sometimes be tricky! Have you had any previous experiences with Bluetooth pairing in your car? I'm curious about your favorite apps for vehicle diagnostics and how they’ve improved your driving experience!

Yes, you should be able to connect the vLinker iCar Pro BLE4.0 device to your car stereo if your stereo supports Bluetooth connectivity, and it is compatible with Android 13.

It's just a Bluetooth adapter, your phone needs to run Android. So connecting to the stereo is a bit tricky since this is an ECU diagnostic device, not an entertainment device.
