works well with elm327 aka forescan
This was hands down the easiest pairing bluetooth obd2 link I have tried. Worked very well with my galaxy note9 and 2000 f250 super duty with 7.3L powerstroke.
In my mind "nuff said" I'm a happy camper.
It allowed all tests and service functions via forescan. It also allows real time monitoring which is what I was after. I have not tried it on any other vehicles.
So how to use it? In my case already had forescan lite loaded on phone.
Plugged in obd2 scanner... turned on phone Bluetooth... looked for available devices...found it, hit "pair"... it asked for pass code... i entered 1234... it paired.
Went to forescan, settings selected it from list of possible devices. Linked up....began scanning
Literally took about 45 seconds.
Now I have a dedicated real time scan option for my Ford.
When new android stereo for truck gets here I will load forescan and pair it to obd2 link and have my phone free for other stuff.
Bottom line, it works, it scans, it links, and it works with Ford diesels. Good product.

This is a compact, well-made and versatile OBD2 Scanner. It's a lot more streamlined and portable than units with screens. Essentially, the phone is used as the screen. After downloading the Vgate app, pairing the unit with the Google Pixel 3 was quick and seamless.
This OBD2 scanner can do everything that a full-size unit can. I am easily able to read and erase codes, check I/M, O2 sensor DTC and EVAP, do live data and read essential vehicle information like VIN. It worked well with my Mazda 3. The app is intuitive to use and well organized so these functions are pretty easy to find without struggle. Overall, it's an easy-to-use, accurate and versatile scanner. Full marks from me!

I've been wanting to address a few minor annoyances with my wife's 2016 BMW 328i (F30). Specifically, the audio stays on when the car is off and doors are opened and not having full Enhanced Bluetooth functionality. I figured I'd get the vLink tool, some software & watch a few videos to figure it out.
It's a little Bluetooth device that plugs into the OBD2 port. I tried pairing it with my phone a few times and didn't have any luck. Eventually I figured out that Bluetooth to the car had to be disconnected from the phone so that the vLink was the only active, paired device. After pairing was successful, I downloaded & installed the Bimmercode app. The app asks the device being used to connect to the car & the type of car itself. Once all that was configured, the device & software worked flawlessly during the ECU update process.
I was able to successfully complete the updates and now those few minor annoyances have been resolved. I have to explore the other software options available to view codes, statistics, etc. The vLink device will definitely help you to achieve your BMW upgrade/modification goals.

Better than most. Can read codes for ABS, TPMS, SRS, Transmission, not only the ECU
I've had the device for months and used it to check for codes (DTCs) on Engines, transmissions, ABS, A/C, and other modules on several cars. Unlike most inexpensive OBD2 readers, this one gives you access to other control modules in your cars, not just the engine control unit (ECU).
I used it to change the dark mode in my (retired) P71 police interceptor, to read the codes in the ABS module (bad wheel speed sensor) in a 2011 Ford Escape that had the ABS light on, check the Transmission fluid temperature in a Chevy Trailblazer that didn't have the check engine light on but wasn't shifting right. I also used it to read live data from the high pressure sensor on the A/C (Trailblazer) which I needed to verify that I fixed a leak correctly, I've used it to figure out which cylinder was misfiring on his F-150 and an intermittent misfire on my Crown Vix. it's a beautiful thing.
I use it with the ForScan Lite app on Ford cars, the for other makers I use CarScanner app (paid something like $3), and Torque Lite. Keep in mind that the MC version is only for Android and Windows, the MC+ (BLE 4.0) supports iOS
