I strongly recommend your company to improve the updater program to display "already latest version" in this case to prevent customer having a wrong feeling the version is still NOT up-to-date and repeatedly performs upgrade and upgrade again. You know customer sees two different version strings (which is a perception of version NOT catching up) and only your company knows about the "tail digit" phenomenon.

Thanks for the information, I'll feed it back to the development department for evaluation

I ran into the same issue and had to first find this thread in order to understand the logic of tail numbers. Therefore I support the idea of improving the UI.
