Many Vgate iCarPro users rely on Bluetooth for quick diagnostics, but occasional lag or dropouts can be frustrating. Here are a few practical steps to keep your connection smooth tunnel rush:
- Update Your App & Firmware – Make sure the OBD app and the iCarPro firmware are running the latest versions to avoid known bugs.
- Reduce Interference – Other Bluetooth devices or Wi-Fi networks can create signal noise. Turn off unused devices nearby when scanning.
- Use a Stable Power Source – A weak vehicle battery can cause random disconnections. Check your car’s battery health if you notice frequent drops.
- Re-pair When Necessary – If the adapter becomes unresponsive, delete it from your phone’s Bluetooth list and pair again for a clean start.
With these simple tweaks, your iCarPro adapter can maintain a stronger, more reliable link—helping you run diagnostics without interruptions.

Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed an issue with my vLinker MC+ when using WiFi. After the car stays in standby mode for a few hours, the device reconnects but the WiFi connection becomes unstable, sometimes dropping after just a minute. chiikawa puzzle
I’ve updated to the latest firmware and tried resetting, but the problem still occurs. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be related to WiFi channel interference, or is there a specific setting to improve stability?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I’ve been using the vLinker MC+ with WiFi Speed Stars for a while, but recently I noticed that the connection drops frequently when paired with my laptop. Sometimes it reconnects automatically, other times I have to restart the device.
Could it be related to firmware, or maybe some settings on the WiFi channel? I’d appreciate any tips or solutions.
Thanks in advance!

VIM Driver for Toyota Techstream?

Hey everyone,
Does anyone here have a VIM driver that I can use to install so I can get this FSUSB working with Toyota Techstream? Since Techstream is a worldwide app, I’m honestly shocked there isn’t already a subforum dedicated to it under apps. I really think you guys should consider adding a Techstream apps subgroup here—it would make a lot of sense.
The reason I’m asking is because I just ordered an FSUSB to test with Techstream, and I know I’ll need a VIM installed to use it. I’m checking to see if anyone here has one available or has successfully used it with Techstream before.
For context, I recently posted a blog article about how I’m using Toyota Techstream and the OBD2 port for my Toyota Prius. Thought I’d bring the conversation here to see if anyone else has experience or resources to share.
Thanks in advance!

vLINKER FD+ not connecting with Android BT but responds to IOS

With the vLINKER plugged into the OBDII port and the ignition is ON but not running, the first time I tried to BT connect to Win11 laptop, I accidentally tried to use the vLinker FD -IOS option. When I did and entered 1234, the blue LED on the vLinker started flashing. But eventually stopped and never connected.
But when I did find the vLinker FD-Android option in the BT list on the Windows 11 laptop, I selected it, entered the 1234, and the blue LED never flashed or turn on. Eventually it also registered as not connected.
So it seems, IOS at least talks to the vLinker, but Android option does not.
How do I get this working? I need it to work on my Windows 11 laptop with FORScan.

I bought a vgate iCar Pro OBD2 Bluetooth 4.0, I pair it successfully using standard Bluetooth with my Android phone and it works fine for my Ioniq 5 and ABRP pro. I can even shut the car off and reconnect if after a short time . But then if I want to use it after the car has been shut off for a longer time, I have to disconnect and re-insert the scanner, pair it and it will link again successfully.
There is something that I can do ?

Hello everyone, my first post here with a quick question. Is it possible to link the icarpro V 3.0 directly to ABRP? I could not get it working, neither could I link the BLE part of it to CarScanner. I have managed to find a working solution where torque pro app sends data to intenos server, but thats not the best solution. Anyone?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been testing the Vgate iCar series with various diagnostic setups and was wondering if anyone here has tried integrating their data streams or reports with external platforms—particularly CRM systems or cloud dashboards?
I came across OutRight Systems, which offers some flexible CRM customizations, and I’m curious if such tools could be used to better track vehicle diagnostics, customer service records, or maintenance alerts in a more automated way.
Has anyone attempted a setup like this? Would love to hear your thoughts or setups!

VLinker FS not recognized with last driver VCP?

Hello, I installed the latest VCP drivers CDM2123620 from the official website FTDICHIP.COM and after the installation the VLinker FS is not recognized by Windows11. If I install the older driver CDM21228 present in the folder vLinker FS_USB_v2.3.04.zip then it works.
Why this problem with last VCP drivers CDM2123620?
